Greetings, i’m Doug. I have extensive mechanical experience wrenching on various platforms, from archaic pinsetting machines, to F18 fighter jets, to GE Wind Turbines. Through it all, I’ve been a bike mechanic at heart. Most of my skills I owe to Rick Reister, my mentor from my 2-years at the Marlton REI in south Jersey. I also spent a few months at an e-bike shop in lower Manhattan during the pandemic.

I believe heavily in the right to repair, in owning things that are built well, and built to be serviced and maintained for life. I don’t aim to upsell, nor do I recommend buying new parts when I feel they aren’t needed. I enjoy bringing machines back from the edge, from years leaning against the shed, under a tarp, or in a leaky basement.
